Terms of Service

Last updated June 24, 2026

Agreement

By creating an account, downloading, or using Kairos, you agree to these terms. Kairos is provided by Maxis. If you're using Kairos on behalf of a church or organization, you're confirming you have authority to accept these terms for them.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and license key confidential. One license covers the device count specified by your plan — see the pricing page for current plan limits. We may suspend an account used in violation of these terms or shared beyond its licensed device count.

Free plan and trials

The free plan and any trial minutes are provided for evaluating Kairos and are subject to the limits shown in the app and on the pricing page at the time of sign-up. We may change free-plan limits going forward; changes won't retroactively reduce minutes or credits you've already been granted for the current billing period.

Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Paystack or Paddle, depending on your region. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard — you'll keep access through the end of the period you've already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the Kairos application outside of its intended licensing.
  • Use Kairos to process or display content you don't have the right to use.
  • Attempt to bypass license validation or device limits.
  • Use the service in a way that disrupts it for other users.

Service availability

Core detection, transcription, and display run locally and don't depend on our servers being online. Account, licensing, and any cloud-dependent features do require connectivity and are provided on a best-effort basis — we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability of those specific pieces, though we work to keep them reliable.

Termination

You can stop using Kairos and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

Disclaimer and liability

Kairos is provided "as is." We work hard to make detection accurate, but we don't guarantee it will catch every reference or never make a mistake — you remain in control of what's displayed. To the extent permitted by law, Maxis isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of Kairos.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
